Patrons rave about the generous portions and affordable prices, making it an ideal spot for families and groups. Great place. Accommodated a group of 8 fairly quickly. All dishes were great especially for the prices. Chicken noodle soup is a big hit here.

You want a comfort food location with friendly staff and owner. If you don't go away full with lots leftovers your at the wrong place. Absolutely love it here!

Red Chimney is the staple restaurant in Slavic Village. It's got to be one of the only places to get a quality meal and service in this area. Kinda sad that we don't have many choices, but this one is solid. Classic Diner atmosphere and the classic food. Nothing too fancy, it's just right. The choices might not be the healthiest but it's a great spot to get an inexpensive bite to eat.

I just walked over to get some chicken soup to go, since this place had been recommended by locals. I can only speak for the soup, but it was amazing!! The soup was packed full of noodles with yummy carrots (not mushy) and delicious chicken. I ordered the smaller portion and it was plenty!!! Try the Red Chimney!! You won't regret it!

This is one of those rare mom & pop style diners that is still hanging on. Today was my 1st visit. It is clear why they are still here when many others have not survived. I ordered beef vegetable soup expecting some 'meh' both and a few chucks of generic frozen vegetables. The waitress brought out a giant bowl overflowing with vegetables in a flavorful beef broth. It looked like a soup I would make at home (I am a good home cook that started at age 7.) My fiancè and I had breakfast. The food was done very well and the price was reasonable for the sheer amount and the extras we ordered. I just wished we lived closer so we could visit more often.

OK, it's not the Ritz. The building would be condemned if it were anywhere else. Get your expectations right and this is a great place. We've been coming here from Chardon for years. We've brought friends who've kept coming too. The portions are huge. The prices are ridiculously low. I think they're just charging to cover the cost of washing the dishes. Where else can you get city chicken, stuffed cabbage, baby calf liver, Slovenian sausage, country-fried steak, perogies all on the same plate if you like? And when they tell you, 'Your choice of potatoes,' we're talking hash browns, home fried, French fries, baked, mashed, or pancakes. Breakfast anytime too. All in a Greco Slavic Appalachian ambience reminiscent of a Woolworth's lunch counter in the Greek section of Warsaw.
